CoupleHQ handles some of your most personal information — finances, health, children, documents. Here’s exactly how we keep it private and secure.
Strict household isolation
Every household is a sealed tenant. Only its members can ever read its data — there is no cross-household access and no “public” view of your content. Your household simply doesn’t exist to anyone outside it.
Encrypted at rest
Sensitive data — finances, health, documents, emergency and care notes — is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Passwords are never stored; only a strong cryptographic hash is kept. Everything travels over TLS/HTTPS.
The admin can’t read your content
For support, an administrator can see accounts and status (to reset a password, for example) — but never the content inside your household. Feedback can even be sent anonymously.
EU hosting, GDPR by default
Hosted in Germany (Hetzner), inside the EU. You can export your data (Art. 15) and permanently delete your account and household (Art. 17) yourself, any time, right in the app.
No ads, no tracking, no data selling
No third-party trackers, no advertising, no selling of your data. We earn from the subscription — that’s the whole business model.
