1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing is: [Firmenname / Betreiber] [Straße und Hausnummer], [PLZ Ort] Email: hello@couple-hq.de
2. Overview
CoupleHQ is a private, multi-tenant app for couples. Every household is strictly isolated: only its members can see its content. Content data (e.g. tasks, notes, finances) is not reachable from outside and is NOT shown to the platform administrator.
3. Data we process
Account data: name, email, hashed password, optional 2FA data. Household data: the content you and your partner create. Usage/server logs: IP address and timestamp of security-relevant actions (audit log). Payment data: processed exclusively by our payment provider Stripe (see section 7).
4. Purposes and legal bases
Providing the service and performing the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Security, abuse/fraud prevention and rate limiting (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Billing (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
5. Encryption
Data is transmitted over TLS/HTTPS. Particularly sensitive fields are additionally stored encrypted (encryption at rest). Passwords are stored only as a cryptographic hash.
6. Privacy from the administrator
For administration, the platform administrator can view households and accounts (name, email, status) and manage them in support cases (e.g. trigger a password reset). However, they CANNOT view any household content data. Feedback can be sent anonymously if you choose – your identity is then not disclosed to the administrator.
7. Payment processing (Stripe)
For paid subscriptions we use Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.). When you purchase, payment data is transmitted directly to and processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment data ourselves. Stripe’s privacy policy applies additionally.
8. Hosting & processors
The service is operated by [Firmenname / Betreiber] or its hosting provider. Contracts with processors exist pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. [Add hosting provider and any further processors here.]
9. Cookies & local storage
We use a technically necessary session cookie (httpOnly) for login. Settings (e.g. language, theme) are stored in the browser’s local storage. There is no third-party tracking.
10. Retention
Account data is stored for as long as your account exists. After you delete your account/household, the associated data is deleted (statutory retention obligations, e.g. for invoices, remain unaffected).
11. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. In the app you can export your data and delete your account. For further requests contact hello@couple-hq.de.
12. Right to complain
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
